Committees
ULI Michigan’s committees are the backbone of the District Council, organized by and comprised of ULI Michigan members working together to help ULI fulfill its mission. Bring your expertise to the table by getting involved with a ULI Michigan committee.

ULI Michigan General Committees
General committees focus on a specific area of interest as it relates to the District Council as a whole. These committees are responsible for producing a year-by-year program of work, directing ULI staff based on committee recommendations, and setting and achieving goals which help drive the District Council and promote the mission of ULI.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee keeps ULI members up-to-date on current programs, initiatives, and member benefits via social media and the ULI Michigan website. The Communications Committee is also responsible for producing LandLink, which encompasses ULI Michigan digital media communications with members and prospective members, including blog posts, eblasts and the quarterly e-newsletter.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee encourages new memberships in ULI, introduces new members to the local District Council, and engages members in ULI’s work in the community, tracks retention and coordinates occasional member surveys. The committee is also responsible for promoting, establishing and retaining relationships with partner organizations.

Programs Committee
The Program Committee identifies topics and speakers for programs and events, as well as local panels for national topics of interest (Emerging Trends and Infrastructure). The Committee organizes around the issues impacting the real estate industry, both locally and on a national level, in order to develop timely and relevant programming.

West Michigan Programs Committee
The West Michigan Programs Committee works to provide the West Michigan region with ULI programming and events. The Committee identifies topics of interest and coordinates programs that feature many of the developments, approaches, and concepts that are successfully revitalizing and transforming urban areas throughout the western part of Michigan.

Women’s Leadership Initiative Steering Committee
ULI Michigan is excited to announce the introduction of the ULI Michigan Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) in 2014. The mission of the Women’s Leadership Initiative is to raise the visibility and increase the number of women leaders in ULI and the real estate industry.

Young Leaders Group Steering Committee
The Young Leaders Group Steering Committee works to create a unique setting for the future leaders in the real estate and land use industries to interact, both professionally and socially, with the leaders of today, while providing responsible leadership and transferring knowledge in the use of land in order to enhance the total environment.
