A Regional Product Council (RPC) provides a multi-disciplinary forum for mid- and senior-level ULI members to exchange information and share best practices within a particular industry sector. Members will have the opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals across the ULI East Central Region, which includes Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Pittsburgh.
ULI Michigan is pleased to offer this unique opportunity for Full and Associate members to network across seven District Councils, fostering regional collaboration and industry insight.
What is a Regional Product Council?
A Regional Product Council (RPC) serves as a platform for industry professionals to discuss trends, challenges, and innovative solutions in real estate development. Members participate in peer-driven discussions and gain valuable insights from their regional counterparts.
Regional Product Council Focus
For 2025, the ULI East Central Regional Product Council 3.0 will focus on Public/Private Partnerships in Mixed-Use Development. Discussions will explore:
- The increasing attractiveness of urban cores in the East Central Region
- The impact of demographic shifts and preferences for walkable, urban environments
- Development patterns including infill projects, adaptive reuse of historic and obsolete buildings, and creative urban housing, retail, and mixed-use developments
Application Process
Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for the 2025-2026 cycle.
Member Expectations
RPC members are expected to:
-Engage in open, honest discussions, sharing detailed real estate experiences
-Maintain confidentiality to foster a trusted environment
-Participate in high-value discussions, free from self-promotion
-Recruit innovative leaders—ULI members and non-members—as guest speakers
-Actively contribute to meetings and discussions to enhance the council’s impact
Council Requirements
- Open to Full or Associate Members from the ULI East Central Region
- Membership capped at 60 members total (maximum 10 per District Council)
- Members commit to attending:
- Two in-person meetings per year
- Two virtual meetings (one-hour each)
- Members cover their own travel expenses
- Annual council dues: $450 (commitment through November 2025)
- A Regional Product Council Executive Committee will oversee programming and membership, ensuring diversity in profession, ethnicity, and gender
