Lifetime Achievement Award

ULI Michigan is proud to honor local individuals who, through leadership and dedication, have helped create and sustain thriving communities, both locally and worldwide.

Lifetime Achievement Award

ULI Michigan bi-annually celebrates an industry leader whose personal and professional contributions have not only made an enduring mark on Michigan’s real estate industry, but the community as a whole. In addition, the Lifetime Achievement/Placemaker Award Dinner serves as ULI Michigan’s annual fundraiser, and supports the many programs and initiatives coordinated by the District Council.

The Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award was established to recognize leaders in the Michigan real estate community whose achievements throughout his or her lifetime – including contributions to real estate as well as to civic, charitable and philanthropic endeavors – exemplify the spirit and mission of ULI.

John Rakolta, Jr. has been named the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. The Chairman and CEO of Walbridge is being recognized due to his strong presence and significant contributions to the real estate industry and many Michigan communities. ULI Michigan Chairman Robert Schostak made the announcement. The Award Presentation and Dinner will take place on May 18, 2017, at the Westin Book Cadillac in downtown Detroit.
