Eastside Story: 2017 Larson Center TAP Report to Focus on Three East Detroit Neighborhoods

ULI Michigan has partnered with the City of Detroit Department of Housing and Revitalization for the 2016-2017 Larson Center for Leadership Technical Assistance Panel (TAP), which will focus on three neighborhoods in east Detroit; Cornerstone Village, East English Village, and MorningSide. In Dearborn, Michigan, a once bustling commercial block has fallen on tough times. The Wagner Hotel block in the West Downtown District suffered multiple vacancies and a fire during the last economic recession–and has been struggling to rebuild since. Urban Land Institute Michigan, is accepting applications for its leadership program. Participants will commit one full day each month, beginning in October, to attending comprehensive programming developed by a committee of seasoned ULI members, culminating in a real-world group project known as a Technical Assistance Panel.
